eHaul

Careers

A small team in Kent building the allocation layer for UK home removals. If you like unglamorous logistics problems and talking to people who drive vans for a living, we should talk.

Life at eHaul

We are a small, deliberately unflashy team working on a genuinely under-served industry. Most of our customers are two people and a van, and almost none of them have time for software that gets in the way.

eHaul sits between removal brands taking bookings and the independent crews who carry them out. That means our work is equal parts operations, product and relationship building. We spend a lot of time on the phone to movers, and everyone in the team is expected to do some of that regardless of their job title.

What you get

  • Competitive salary reviewed annually, benchmarked against London rates
  • Hybrid working — two days a week together in our Kent office
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Workplace pension with employer contribution
  • A real say in what we build, because the team is small enough for that to be true

How we work

  1. 1

    Talk to movers first

Before anything gets built we speak to the crews it affects. Decisions made without that input tend to get reversed.

  2. 2

    Ship small, ship often

We would rather release a narrow version this week and learn from it than plan a perfect one for three months.

  3. 3

    Be straight about the money

Our whole pitch to movers is that the numbers are published up front. We hold ourselves to the same standard internally.

  4. 4

    Own the whole problem

Job titles describe where you start, not where you stop. Everybody here has fixed something outside their remit.

Open roles

Everything below is a permanent role based in Kent, with two days a week in the office and the rest wherever you work best.

Mover Operations Associate

Kent · Hybrid · Full time

The first point of contact for crews joining the network. You will run verification checks, chase missing documents, answer subscription questions and feed what you hear back into the product. Suits someone organised and unflappable who genuinely enjoys talking to people all day.

Full-stack Engineer (Next.js)

Kent · Hybrid · Full time

Build the mover dashboard and the allocation tooling behind it. Our stack is Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind and Firestore. You will work directly with operations, and you will speak to movers about what you are building.

Partnerships Manager

Kent · Hybrid · Full time

Bring more removal brands onto the network so there are more booked jobs to allocate. Part business development, part account management, and a lot of understanding how a removals company actually makes money.

Apply by email

We read every application ourselves. A short note explaining why this industry interests you will always beat a generic covering letter.

How we hire

  1. 1

    Send us an email

A CV and a few paragraphs to careers@ehaul.co.uk. No forms and no portals.

  2. 2

    Introductory call

Thirty minutes with the hiring manager to talk through your background and what the role actually involves day to day.

  3. 3

    A practical conversation

A real problem from our own backlog, discussed together. No whiteboard algorithms and no unpaid take-home projects.

  4. 4

    Meet the team

An informal afternoon in the office. You should be interviewing us just as hard by this point.

  5. 5

    Offer

We aim to go from first email to decision inside three weeks, and we tell you where you stand at every stage.

Nothing that fits?

We hire slowly and we would rather meet good people early than advertise in a hurry later. If you can see where you would add something here, tell us what and we will keep the conversation going.
