Getting verified faster: the five things that slow it down

Most verifications clear in a day. The ones that drag almost always come down to the same handful of avoidable problems.

Verification exists because customers are handing a stranger everything they own. It is also the only thing standing between you and your first assigned move, so it is worth getting right first time.

Most complete profiles clear within one to two working days. When one drags on, it is nearly always one of these five things.

1. The certificate is in a different name

If you registered as a limited company but your goods in transit cover is in your personal name, we cannot match them. Ask your broker to reissue in your trading name — it is usually a same-day change.

2. The cover has already expired

It happens more than you would think, especially with policies that renewed onto a new certificate you never downloaded. Check the expiry date before you upload rather than after.

3. Only one of the two policies is attached

We need goods in transit and public liability. They are frequently held with different insurers, and it is easy to upload one and assume the other went with it.

4. The photo is unreadable

A photograph of a screen at an angle in poor light is the most common cause of a resubmission. A flat scan or a clean PDF from your broker's portal saves everyone a day.

5. Coverage areas set far too wide

Selecting every region in the country does not get you more jobs — it gets you jobs you will decline. Set the radius you would genuinely drive on a Saturday morning and allocation gets noticeably better.

Get those five right and you will almost certainly be live before the end of the week, with your first move allocated shortly after your subscription is confirmed.
